Death, Destruction and Despair
Even though the Pakistan Government tried its best to keep the genocide hidden from the international view for the first three months, they could not do it for long. Many journalists visited the area over these troubled times. Their first hand account exposed the horrors unleashed by the Pakistani army only comparable to the holocaust of Nazis. One high US official commented in TIME magazine - “ It is the most incredible calculated thing since the days of the Nazis in Poland.” [1]
